Meet Ralf
Ralf is a Partner and experienced professional with many years at the firm and serves as Risk Management and Quality Leader. In this role, he is responsible for compliance with the International Standard on Quality Management 1 (ISQM 1) and internal quality control programs, both at an organizational and engagement level. He also leads the independence function and acts as legal counsel within the firm.
Ralf is a key point of contact for complex audit methodology, accounting, and reporting matters. In addition to his internal responsibilities, he advises local clients on reporting and accounting challenges, with a particular focus on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), helping organizations ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
Alongside his professional work, Ralf has been lecturing in auditing and assurance at Erasmus University and Tilburg University for many years. He obtained his PhD from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2013 and regularly publishes on sustainability, related reporting, and assurance. In his free time, he enjoys classical music and plays the piano.
