Meet Robbert-Jan
Robbert-Jan is an Assurance Director in our Assurance services at Grant Thornton, providing organizations with clear guidance and a strong focus on quality. With extensive experience in complex audit matters and risk management, he supports clients in building trust in their financial reporting, with an approach that is engaged, pragmatic, and focused on transparency and sustainable growth.
His areas of expertise include IFRS and Dutch GAAP audits, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management. With nearly two decades of international audit experience, Robbert-Jan works with a wide range of clients across both public and private sectors, including retail, financial services, professional services, and foundations.
In addition to his client work, Robbert-Jan plays an active role in strengthening quality and development within the firm. He serves as Head of Learning & Development for Grant Thornton Dutch Caribbean, contributes to internal quality and risk review programs, and acts as an examiner for the NBA. Known for his ability to connect technical audit insights with the broader business context, he helps organizations enhance transparency and stakeholder confidence.
